Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays :

Digital radiography (digital X-ray) is a form of X-ray imaging where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include increased efficiency by eliminating the need for chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images

What is the difference between digital X-ray and normal X-ray?

While traditional X-rays are considered safe, digital X-rays produce 80% less radiation than traditional. This means it is highly unlikely you would develop issues from occasional traditional radiation exposure, but it is even less likely with the process used in digital X-rays

How are digital X-rays taken?

The actual procedure for having a digital dental x-ray is very similar to a traditional x-ray. Our dentist, Dr. JANGIR KHAN or another member of our highly trained dental team will carefully insert a sensor into your mouth and which will capture the image of your teeth or jaws.

Will x-ray show gum infection?

Dental X-rays can show diseases of the mouth, including the teeth and gums, that would otherwise go undetected. These diseases include potentially serious conditions such as the following: An abscess, or infection at the root of a tooth or between the gum and a tooth. Areas of decay that are not visually detectable.
